As you read Proverbs, you may be tempted to hurry over these brief, loaded statements. These proverbs present guidance for the way life should be lived. Later on in the month we transition to the book of Proverbs. Enter the story by joining the psalmist who prayed these songs to God. View the psalms as interludes in the story. Notice the key role wisdom plays in the narrative. As you read note God’s role as the main character and His faithfulness to His covenant with David. Now that we are halfway through the Old Testament (Congratulations!), we will continue to read the conclusion of King David’s story as he prepares for the reign of his son Solomon. This month, we’ll continue our chronological journey through Scripture as we read all about how God was transforming His people into a kingdom. We wanted to go ahead and provide the June reading plan so you can print it out and have it ready for the first day of the month!
